In order to overcome the climate crisis and achieve the 1.5°C target of the Paris Agreement, it is essential to achieve the carbon-neutral goal of reducing net greenhouse gas emissions to '0' as soon as possible❕ How is it possible for the world to achieve carbon neutrality together? Shall we?🧐

Recently, the International Energy Agency (IEA) has suggested how the world can reach carbon neutrality by 2050 by moving away from fossil fuels🏭 and towards renewables☀️.

According to the IEA's carbon-neutral scenario📑, economic powerhouses including Korea🇰🇷 must abolish all coal power generation🚫 by 2030 and achieve zero net emissions in the electricity sector by 2035.

We can achieve carbon neutrality by 2050 if we actively reduce greenhouse gas emissions⏬ in the electricity sector, starting with a phase-out of coal and expansion of renewable energy.🤗

2030 coal phase-out, the first step toward carbon neutrality, Korea must hurry!!
